The Jaw and Shoulders are Sacred Places where many of us carry unspoken Tension, Trauma and Emotions. When you relax these Areas, you invite Peace, Flow and Presence into your Body. The Jaw holds back Words we were afraid to say, and the Shoulders carry Weights we were never meant to hold.
By simply bringing Awareness to your Face and Neck, and gently softening your Muscles, you begin to activate your own Self-Healing.
A relaxed Jaw opens the path for clearer Speech, deeper Breathing and greater Connection to the Throat Chakra.
Relaxed Shoulders create space in the Heart and allow your Posture to realign with Strength and Ease.
In moments of Stress, return to your Breath.
Check in with your Body. Ask gently, “What am I holding here?” Then exhale, and let it go.
This is a form of Medicine. This is how we return to our Sacred Alignment.
“Creator, I surrender all hidden Tension I have carried in silence.
Melt away the burdens from my Jaw and Shoulders, so I may move freely,
Speak my Truth and walk with Grace.”
“I release all Tension from my Body. I am free. I am peaceful. I am held.”
Sit or stand with your Feet grounded on Earth.
Close your Eyes. Take three slow Breaths.
On the exhale, unclench your Jaw-let your Tongue rest gently at the bottom of your Mouth.
Let your Shoulders drop naturally away from your Ears. Roll them back with Care.
Place your Hands on your Heart or Throat and speak a kind Word to yourself.
Repeat this Sacred act any time you feel Stressed or Overwhelmed.
In many Native American Teachings, the Body is seen as a Messenger. Tightness in the Jaw may symbolize withheld Truth, while tension in the Shoulders may reflect Responsibility that does not belong to you. Elders teach that every part of the Body holds Story. Through Breath, Movement, and Prayer, we gently rewrite those Stories and invite Healing to enter.
