The Human Body holds Energy, Memories and Emotions.
When You Stretch, You release stagnation from Your Joints, Muscles and Tissues. Stretching is a Practice of Self-Respect saying, “I am worthy of Flow, Movement and Health.”
Even a few minutes a day helps unblock the Energy that collects through Stress or Emotional suppression. Stretching stimulates the Lymphatic System, allowing Your Body to naturally Detoxify. It also awakens the Nervous System gently, helping reduce Anxiety and Improving Mental Clarity.
Native American Dancers Stretch to prepare their Bodies as Sacred Vessels for Ceremony. In Spiritual Practice, Movement is Prayer in Action. By Stretching with Intention, You are inviting Spirit to move through You with Grace.
Affirmation:
“I welcome Divine Flow into my Body. I move with Grace, Ease and Purpose.”
Prayer:
“Creator, stretch my Spirit as I Stretch my Body. Let my Movements be a form of Gratitude for this Sacred Vessel. May each Muscle I awaken bring more Life and Presence into my Day.”
Activity:
Choose a time daily-Sunrise or before bed to do a 5–10 minute intuitive Stretch. Focus on Your Hips, Spine, and Shoulders. Breathe deeply with each movement and invite Peace in.
Cultural Tip:
Many Native American Cultures include Movement, Dance and Stretching in Ceremony. Honor the Land beneath You by acknowledging it before Your Stretches. Say, “I thank this Ground and all of Our Ancestors who Walked it before me.”
